Catechists are trained through the Archdiocesan Pastoral Formation Programme. They are the facilitators of the faith and they prepare our children to receive the Sacraments of the church:
- First Confession / Reconciliation
- First Holy Communion / Eucharist – reading matter for parents of First Holy Communion candidates
- Life Teen / Confirmation
- SACBC POLICY DOCUMENT
Registration for Catechetics
Level 1 parents, or any new parents to the parish, need to bring a copy of the child’s Baptism Certificate on the day of registration. Families must be registered at Holy Redeemer Parish.
Junior Catechetical Program
- Facilitator/Teacher roster for Levels 1 to 7 in the church porch and on Parish Centre noticeboard
- Good Shepherd Programme (Level 1 to 4), Edge Programme (Level 5 to 7)
- Level 3 is the First Confession Class
- Level 4 is a 2-year sacramental course which commences in year 1 and culminates in the celebration of First Confession and Holy Communion in year 2

- First Confession (9yrs), Monday, 17h15 – 18h15
- First Communion (10yrs), Friday, 16h30 – 17h30
- Edge (11yr-13yrs), Friday, 18h00 – 20h00
