Taizé Pilgrimage

We have 59 beds offered so far!  Thank you all.

Just a gentle reminder that we are all due to meet on 14 August at 7 pm in the Parish Hall of Holy Redeemer Church for a question and answer session.

For those that do not know the church, there is secure parking near the hall at the back of the church. The meeting is also open to families who have not yet offered beds but are curious, so please encourage them to attend as well.

There is also an opportunity to learn some Taize songs and spend a morning singing together on the 24th August at the United Church in Rondebosch from 11 am-1.30 pm. Those of us who went to the first morning of song really enjoyed it and it gave us a taste of what the pilgrims can expect. The event is open for all and not only for the music ministries and pilgrims.

If you would like to read what the pilgrims are expecting to find on their trip to Cape Town please read the article in the Taize website in the link below. It’s a thought-provoking read https://www.taize.fr/en_article26114.html

Finally, if you would like to attend a Taize service, these are held on the first and third Sunday at 7 pm in Erin Hall in Rondebosch. The service is 1 hour long and it’s a lovely way to start the week. The next service will be on the 17th of August.
