Eucharistic Adoration

This is a parish based apostolate of the laity whereby the parishioners undertake a weekly Holy Hour in the present of The Blessed Sacrament exposed. This popular grace-filled programme, teaches us to put all our trust in His Sacred Heart. Allow the power of His Love to capture, conquer and cast out every doubt, every fear, and every anxiety that we have.

Fr Albert Shannon tells the story of The Countess of Feria, who spent countless hours before the Blessed Sacrament and said:

"Our Lord is rich, He is the physician, He is the fountain;
He is the bread from heaven. His love for us is so great that He died that He might dwell among us, might enrich us, heal us, refresh and nourish us"

Adore unceasingly the Most Blessed Sacrament; Know that Our Lord is always present when the faithful are adoring:

It can happen:

The Adoration Team are continually receiving stories of little miracles that happen to people who spend time in the chapel.
Prayers are answered: such as: request for:

  • Family harmony restored
  • Employment found
  • Help with subsistence abuse
  • Our first pregnancy because of constant prayer has occurred
  • Financial support
  • Peace to one’s own self
Spending time before the exposed Blessed Sacrament in a Chapel is the most rewarding time for anyone. Yes, it does take a few visits to The Blessed Sacrament, to learn to be still and wait for the promptings of Our Lord.

The Blessed Sacrament is exposed daily, Monday through Friday from 09h00 to
22h00 at night. Two people spend an hour in the Chapel; an hour of their own choosing which fits in with their own life.

Please help The Adoration Team to provide support for the larger community of Bergvliet who have come to appreciate the benefit of being able to pop-in to Holy Redeemer Church and spend time before Our Lord.

Every one of us can find time to spend 1 hour per week before The Blessed Sacrament. We just have to schedule our day.

With love and prayers to the parishioners and friends of Holy Redeemer.
