The Blessed Sacrament is exposed every Friday from 09h00 to 18h00.

UPDATE: Eucharistic adoration is open to all members, friends and visitors of Holy Redeemer Parish and neighbouring parishes. The Adoration chapel is open every Friday from 09:00 – 18:00. We would love you to join The Adoration Community. We are looking for Permanent Adorers to dedicate their time to The Lord for one hour each Friday. Please record your name,  contact number and time slot on the Permanent list in the porch. A second list for those who are unable to commit permanently will also be available. Those who have already indicated a  permanent time we thank you but request you to complete the permanent list to save Theresa at the Parish Office from having to contact you. As soon as Friday is running smoothly, we hope to extend the  number of days. Contact: Carol Cornell on 073 194 7295 or carolcornellicon@icloud.com

Come to Me, all who labour and are heavily laden, and I will give you rest.

St. Alphonsus Liguori, founder of The Redemptorists wrote: “Of all devotions, that of adoring Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament, is the greatest after the Sacraments, the one dearest to God and the one most helpful to us.”

Pope John Paul II in one of his homilies said: “It is pleasant to spend time with Him – how can we not feel renewed after spending time in spiritual conversation, in silent adoration, in heartfelt love before Christ in the Most Holy Sacrament?”

O God let me experience ever more acutely the warmth of your Eucharistic Presence.
God has facilitated a loving embrace of Himself by us in the Eucharist.
Through the Eucharist God has made Himself reachable.

“Do not be worried about your life,

What you shall eat and drink

Do not be worried about your clothes,

Whatever people think.

Even the birds of the air are cared for,

The lilies and the grass.”

So come to Jesus in the Blessed sacrament – Just as you are.
His love will never pass.

Are you tired because of the burden of your duties, because of the frustration due to unsuccessful projects, because many misunderstand you? Are you laden with guilt from past sins? Are you trying to find hope and meaning in life? Abandon yourself to JESUS in this  Sacrament of Love. He will refresh you.

The more time you spend with Jesus, the more you will come away feeling renewed and healed.

Prayers as a community, especially intercessory prayers for the needs of the community and the world – help to build a civilization of love -. The prayers we say, can draw our community and our families closer to Christ and to God the Father for his blessing.

This is a parish based apostolate of the laity whereby the parishioners undertake a weekly Holy Hour in the presence of The Blessed Sacrament exposed. This popular grace-filled programme, teaches us to put all our trust in His Sacred Heart.

In order for The Blessed Sacrament chapel to remain open at Holy Redeemer Catholic church, it is necessary for parishioners to commit to spending one hour per week in the Adoration chapel. Please choose one hour that is suited to you and contact the co ordinator to record this commitment.

The Blessed Sacrament is exposed every Friday from 09h00 to 18h00.

You may like to give a gift to Our Lord occasionally by  arranging  flowers in the chapel; please feel welcome to do this and contact Carol on the details below.
